Three personalities. Three paths. One attitude.

We could hardly be more different - and that's exactly what makes us strong.

  • Janine brings empathy, structure and an unshakeable sense of responsibility.
  • Rüdiger stands for strategic clarity, digital excellence and the ability to move teams like climbing mountains.
  • Thomas combines analytical precision with creative clout - and finds solutions where others only see complexity.

We are united by the conviction that good work requires attitude: respect, openness and courage.

We share a passion for communication that works, strategies that work and solutions that are created close to the people they are intended for.

Our paths have taken us through agencies, international networks, our own start-ups and management positions. We have been responsible for budgets in the millions, developed products, transformed companies and led teams through change. In the process, we have learnt that success is no coincidence, but the result of clear thinking, honest words and joint action.

That is our foundation. We build on it - for projects with substance.

Thomas Zumtobel

CEO/Founder - Strategy & Technology

Founder. Pioneer. Creative strategist with a system.

I am a keen sportsman. Running and road cycling. The passion was awakened during a student exchange programme in France, when I was allowed to try out a racing bike from a local dealer for the first time. The first ride? Unforgettable. I earned my first bike with holiday jobs, although my parents preferred to buy me a moped. I refused - of course.

What came next? Cycling 20 kilometres to school every day. Competitive dancer in Latin, rock 'n' roll and boogie-woogie. I was a DJ and witnessed the birth of techno live - from new beat to acid to what we simply call techno today. That's where I got stuck musically. Rhythm is still part of my thinking today. Just like structure.

I studied economics with a focus on business informatics at the elite University of Heidelberg and completed my undergraduate degree in mathematics at the same time. Why? Because I wanted to understand whether 1 + 0 is really 1. After nine semesters, only 40 of over 400 students were still sitting with me in the Alte Aula for the graduation ceremony.

What followed: Lead programmer in the gaming industry. Project manager at Denkwerk, where I managed projects with budgets in the millions and led a team of 35 employees - intensively, quickly, precisely. At some point, things went so well that I founded my own agency together with three former colleagues.

I only realised this late in life: I am highly gifted and have a special talent for creative problem solving. This realisation explained a lot. But above all, it explained why I feel comfortable in complex situations, why I like to change perspectives and why I turn ideas into working solutions.

Janine Lindenau

CEO/Founder - Operations & Project Management

Carrier of responsibility. Bridge builder. A strategist with heart and attitude.

I learnt early on to take responsibility - for others and for myself. Even as a teenager, I knew what it was like when addiction or illness push people to their limits. And that honesty, even when it hurts, is non-negotiable. Responsibility, respect and compassion have been my inner compass ever since.

I was the first in my family to study architecture, communication sciences, psychology and sociology. Lacking practical experience? No problem. I worked in public relations, worked in agencies and gained experience. That's where I found my field: digital communication and project management. Structured, effective, human.

After working in large companies, classic PR and internal communication, I realised: I want projects with substance. Close to the people. Developing solutions, taking on responsibility, empowering people - without politics, without the fuss. Today, that's exactly what I do - in a place where attitude counts and work makes sense.

I'm not perfect. I get red spots when I talk about myself. But I stand by what I do. And I've learnt that doubts and little quirks don't make you weak - they make you human.

What do others appreciate about me? My loyalty. My reliability. And my humour, which can be sharp-tongued. I say what's important. And I mean it.

Rüdiger Maeßen

CEO/Founder - Marketing & PR

Communication strategist. Digital native. Mountain thinker.

Nature inspires me - its pace, its clarity, its power. In the garden, when my hands are in the soil, or on a summit in the high Alps, when the sun breaks the horizon. The silence up there clears your head. It is precisely this space for thoughts that makes new ideas possible. And yes - also in management. Teams that climb the Zugspitze together surpass themselves.

My passion for digital communication began at the end of the 1990s - not in the lecture theatre, but in an internet start-up. I actually wanted to become a teacher, like my parents. Instead, I discovered the web as a creative tool to make ideas visible and tangible. That was the starting signal.

What followed were the wild years of one of the first digital agencies in Germany: major projects for Bayer AG and Microsoft, the boom, the takeovers, the bursting of the dotcom bubble. Then the leap into the world of international network agencies - over 16 years of key account management, C-level consulting and site management at Ketchum/Omnicom. I was responsible for the digital offering, managed teams for clients such as Metro, Bayer and Bosch and ran locations with over 100 employees.

But large networks are tankers. Change there takes time - too much time. As CEO of Hill+Knowlton (WPP), I experienced the opportunities and limitations of this world. The desire for more agility ultimately brought me to Uniplan. Owner-managed, internationally active, six locations, 150 employees - and a new playing field: brand experience. Here I was able to combine both - strategic thinking and quick decisions.

What drives me? People who think openly and act boldly. My style? Openness, honest dialogue, clear direction. My conviction? Change doesn't just happen - you have to drive it.
